Media Correction of the Year…

One of the year’s most coveted awards goes to none other than Dave Barry. Here’s how the famous humor writer chose to correct a misspelling he made in a column published by the Miami Herald:

“In yesterday’s column about badminton, I misspelled the name of Guatemalan player Kevin Cordon. I apologize. In my defense, I want to note that in the same column I correctly spelled Prapawadee Jaroenrattanatarak, Poompat Sapkulchananart and Porntip Buranapraseatsuk. So by the time I got to Kevin Cordon, my fingers were exhausted.”

Trying To Take Thomas Kinkade Seriously, But…

Thomas Kinkade (yes, “Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light™”) has managed to create a movie based on his style of paintings. (That can be done?) (Should that ever be done??)

Apparently, Vanity Fair magazine wasn’t able to keep a straight face after watching this planned theatrical release go straight-to-video.

This amusing moment (in their eyes) has inspired this humorous article titled, “Thomas Kinkade’s 16 Guidelines for Making Stuff Suck.”

The name of the article alone demands a read, but I’ll let you choose to read it for your own reasons.
